Ready for Finland?

Finland is a high-tech society quickly exploring the advantages of the latest technological advances. For example, in Internet and mobile phone use Finland is one of the leading countries. Certainly, when it comes to information technology, Finland is a superpower. Finns are said to be shy, but a reticent exterior often hides a reliable and talkative Finn, who communicates through his Nokia mobile phone.

Finnish culture is a mix of Western tradition enriched with Eastern influences combined with a Nordic lifestyle. Finland is an EU member and a Nordic republic with two official languages, Finnish and Swedish. English is widely spoken.

Nature – it is everywhere in Finland. Forests and lakes cover a large chunk of land. Finland has four distinct seasons, spring, summer, autumn, winter – but one of them is too long… In the summer, Finns enjoy the long days under the midnight sun while the winter is a time for the magic of the Aurora Borealis, polar nights, and white snow.

“The funniest things in Finland are the snow and the summer, two opposites. I have never seen snow in India. Summer in Finland is very beautiful and pleasant. However, the best thing in Finland are the honest people.”
